STORY BEHIND THE FEATURES

ODOO'S FUNCTIONS

Odoo's Budget allows business to plan a desired financial outcome and then measure the actual performance against its plan. Odoo uses budgetary position and analytic account to identify budgeting object.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTIONS

Cluedoo adds additional filters to specify tracking on product and partner. A company can even track budgeting without needing analytic accounts of products and partners.

BUSINESS CASE

Company A wants to plan and track quarterly sales from their 3 main products via different sales channels.

OUR FEATURES AS SOLUTIONS

Adds additional Product and Partner filtering on Budget Line

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

1. On Accounting, go to Budgets and create a new quarterly budget.

2. In this example, for each Analytic Account (Sales Channels), the user specifies the sales budget from every 3 main products as well as other products (ie: all products excluding the 3 products selected above).

The user could even add multiple products on one budget line.

3. The inputted budget lines will be automatically updated in mentioned Analytical Accounts.

4. When a new invoice/analytic item is generated from one of the 3 main products and analytic account "Direct-to-customer", the revenue will be accounted as "Practical Amount" in the corresponding budget line.

Note: Achievement is 0% because the invoice/analytic item is recorded in the future.

5. When a new invoice/analytic item is generated from a product that isn't included in the 3 main products and the analytic account "Retail", the revenue will be accounted as "Practical Amount" in the corresponding budget line.

6. The filter for Partners in the Budget line works the same as the Product filter.

The user could even combine the Product and Partner filters for more specific tracking.
